Gornja
Trepca
There are three mineral springs at the foot of mountain Vujan. The healing
elements are in fact macro elements which are in perfect equilibrium.
It has been known for healing properties since 15th century. Complete
medical indications refer to rheumatism, disturbs in the field of neuropsychiatry,
multiplex sclerosis, cerebral paralyses, neurasthenia etc. The waters
are also used in treatment of gastrointestinal tract. The average temperature
of water is 30.5° C, and the treatments with professional medical
assistance are performed in the sanatorium “Gornja Trepca”.
Gornja Trepca is located at 460 m height above sea level. It is 18 km
far from Cacak and 159 km far from Belgrade.
Ovcar
Banja
It lies in the central part of the protected national park “Ovcarsko-Kablarska
Gorge”. It is 18 km far from Cacak. It is 278 m above sea level. Mineral
water of Ovcar Banja has the temperature of 37,5° C. The water is
homoeothermic, containing little sulphur. It also contains iodine, and
the healing properties are in its micro elements. It has been used in
treatments since the 15th century. Medical indications refer to the cure
of rheumatism, sport injures, degenerative changes (spondilosis and arthritis)
and the treatments are performed in bathtubs under supervision of medical
staff from Cacak.
Slatinska
Banja
This spa is located in the village Slatina, 17 km southeast from Cacak,
on the slopes of mountain Jelica. Mineral water has the temperature of
16,8° C and is ranked among waters containing sulphur. The water is
used for bathing in the private bathtubs and heated water is used in cure
of rheumatism and skin diseases.
It is ranked among the waters containing sulphur, having the properties
of weak alkali saline waters. Healing properties of this water are in
mildly increased contents of potassium, lithium, rubidium, strontium,
caesium, barium and phosphorus. They are expressed fully if the water
is used for bathing. It is not sufficiently examined as potable water.
It is mildly radioactive (7, 5 emans/l), and its acidity is 7, 5.
The treatments are performed by washing and by applying mud coverings.
